1. Two ways to delete
Option A — In the app (fastest)
If you have Sweet Tales installed, you can delete your account and data yourself:
- Open Sweet Tales.
- Go to Settings.
- Choose Delete account and confirm.
This immediately and permanently deletes the erasable data listed in Section 2. It cannot be undone.
Option B — Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app (for example, you changed phones or uninstalled it), send us a deletion request and we will erase your data for you:
Or write to pav228.id@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my account." To help us find your account, include the email address or sign-in method (Google / Apple) you used, if you have one. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, so that no one else can delete your data.
2. What gets deleted
When you delete your account — in the app or by request — we delete the following:
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Uploaded voice recording(s) | Permanently deleted. |
| Derived voice model / voiceprint (biometric identifier) | Permanently destroyed, so it can no longer be used to synthesize narration. |
| Generated story audio | Permanently deleted. |
| Child's first name and profile detail | Deleted or irreversibly anonymized. |
| Account and authentication records | Deleted; session/capability tokens are revoked and expire automatically. |
3. What we must keep, and why
A small amount of information is retained only where the law requires it or to protect against fraud. None of it includes your voice audio or your voice model.
| Retained data | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Purchase / subscription records (entitlement status and transaction IDs — not card numbers) | Tax and accounting obligations. | Approximately 10 years under Indonesian bookkeeping rules, then deleted. |
| Consent records (the legal record that consent was given — no audio) | Required as proof of lawful, consented processing under US biometric-privacy laws (e.g., Illinois BIPA). | Kept as a legal artifact; contains no voice data. |
| Diagnostics / operational logs | Security and reliability. | A short rolling window of about 90 days, then deleted. |
For the full retention-and-destruction schedule, see Section 11 of our Privacy Policy.
4. How long it takes
- In the app: the erasable data in Section 2 is removed immediately when you confirm.
- By email: we aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days. Where a US state privacy law applies to us, we respond within the period that law requires.
